The training team

Eyal Bar-Or

Eyal Bar-Or, the developer of the “Leadership – The Skipper Model” course, is an electronic and computers engineer and the CEO and owner of the engineering consulting company, “Bar-Or Technologies Ltd.” As well as the software company “Safe Zone Ltd.”, which developed a set of unique software for products classification in accordance with the export control regulations in Israel and world-wide.

Beside the leadership experience that he has gained in the companies that he had founded and managed, Eyal has acquired his management and leadership experience in 25 year of serving in the IDF, during which he held various management and development positions in the Israeli Air Force and the Defense Directorate for Research and Development at IMOD.

Those positions included the management of key projects held by The Israeli Ministry of Defenses, while successfully leading teams consist of hundreds of engineers, programmers and developers in a wide range of big and small industries.

During the first stages of his IDF service, the Unit on which he commanded was acknowledged four times as an outstanding unit owing to his unique methods of management and leadership.

During his service as Israel’s Missile Defense Attaché to the United States (last position that he held in his service ) the agreements regarding the Arrow 3 , David Sling and Iron Dome projects were signed.

Eyal won the Air Force Commander Prize for managing a team in a unique project, as well as the Head of The Technology and Equipment Division at IAF Prize, for managing an additional engineering project.

He is also a part of the team that won the Israel Defense Prize for the Arrow 3 program.

Eyal has a Grade 40 skipper’s license (a skippers’ guide and a commercial skipper).

By combining his love for leadership, his love for sailing and his will to share his rich experience with others, he was able to create a special model (as a substitute for the Infantry model of “Bahad 1” – the IDF’s officers school) for developing and sustaining leadership skills in a unique course called “Leadership – The skipper Model”, which is conducted by the Tiller International Leadership Institute managed by him.

      than one session per week.
    • One more intense “crash week” on a sailboat around the islands of Greece –
the many hours of daily training lead to the development of leadership skills in
such a way that they become an automatic and integral part of the participants’
behavior. Each day a different person has the opportunity to be a skipper and
sail the boat on his own.
    • A total of nine days abroad.
    • Full accommodation abroad (hotels on the day before and the day after the
training can also be included, a rental car, 3 meals per day – some of which
will be cooked by the participants and staff as part of the course’s activities) –

of the beautiful Greek islands are only accessible by sea. Visiting some of the
best taverns in Greece is also a big bonus.
    • After the course, participants may easily complete a 7m skipper certification
or any other skipper certification, allowing them to continue to practice their
leadership skills and have fun as they wish.

short time due to the said improvement in the participants’ skills.
    • The course is delivered by a highly experienced instructor in the field of
leadership, developer of the Skipper Model, and holder of a level 40 cruise
      license.
    • Any participant who misses a class for justified reasons (travel abroad, illness
or family event) will be entitled to a private lesson free of charge to complete
      the material.
    • Beyond the fact that the course gives you a set of tools and life-changing
insights, it is also an excellent opportunity to clear your head and disconnect
